Unicorn Strategies (US), an innovative start-up at the intersection of business, policy, and security, is hiring interns.
Run by women deeply committed to supporting and building the careers of other young women, US is eager to bring a a few new members into The Herd.
About the Position(s):
At minimum, interns will receive a small stipend for their work. US is also enthusiastic to work with interns to earn academic credit for their contributions. Internships will be project-based, resulting in a portfolio of work the intern(s) can take with them.
Interns may work remotely and have flexible hours, but will be responsible for real work with real deadlines. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who marches to the beat of their own drum, with an ear for the melody everyone else is playing.
Interns should be prepared to work approximately 15-20 hours a week from August/September through December/January.
-Writing on relevant topics, with potential for multi-outlet publication
-Attending and planning events in Washington, DC
-Social Media Management
-High-level Stakeholder Engagement
-An interest in foreign policy, international security, and defense policy
-Preference will be given to current students and recent graduates of both undergraduate and graduate programs
-Completed at least 3 years of undergraduate education, or spent time in the military services or work force prior to beginning post-secondary education
-A deep commitment to non-partisan solutions to real world problems
